_-_- How to Rename your XBOX EASY -_-_

Post by [users]Evolved »

First you need a modded xbox (which I assume that you already have) and a Hexidecimal Program (Preferrably WinHex).

Now, go to your E:/ on your xbox, then go to the folder that says UDATA, Then there is a file called NICKNAME.XBN. Copy that XBN file to your PC. Now, open that file with Winhex. At the top it should say something like ". . SMW.i.l.s.h.i.r.e. . . ." or something like that. Just rename your box whatever you want. Just be sure that there is no period in between the "SM" and your xbox's new name. So if you wanted to name it "Xbox" it would look like this...
. . SMX.b.o.x. . . and the numbers to the left should look like this...
04 00 53 4D 58 00 62 00 6F 00 78 00 00 00 etc..
00 = "." (dot)

Also you can add cool things to your name, like for instance, here are some codes that you can put in as your name... (these codes will put graphics such as [the "A" button] for you xbox's name.... pretty cool...

SM%.z.o.o.m. . . .
SM%.l.o.o.k. .
SM%.j.u.m.p. . . . .
SM%.m.o.v.e. . . .
SM%.c.r.o.u.c.h. . . .

Try some out, you will like them, I guarantee
(If you know anyother codes let me know)

Make sure that each dot in between each letter is "00" in the number section of WinHex...

So if you want your xbox's name to be "Mopey" it will look like this
. . SMM.o.p.e.y. . . .
04 00 53 4D 4D 00 6F 00 70 00 65 00 79 00 00 etc...

If you have any more questions, email me at evolvedwebdesign@yahoo.com

Have fun.

Is there a way to insert the characters without a large space before and after them.
For example, I want to put my name, "DANNY" as my Xbox name.
So i want it to say "D"the (A) button "NN" the (Y) button. But when I do this. It ends up looking like this...
D (A) NN (Y)
which is what I want, only it puts like 10 spaces between each picture

So can I put characters in without large spaces before and after them?

I found that tutorial to be very helpful. You may want to put (A button) instead of just A button. That should kill all the spaces. I think.

theres this thing on #xbins called Xbox Renamer or something and all you do is tell your box's ip, username, and passoword and it displays the current name. all you do is type a new one and press enter, the codes work too for like the left thumbstick and buttons.

Download xToolBox. It's on the xbins server. With it you can rename your xbox nickname, just use the commands below to show symbols. For example, "D %a-button NN %y-button" Would show up as "D(A)NN(Y)" with the A an Y being the button icons.
%action= action button (x usually)
%crouch=crouch (usually right thumbstick moving up and down)
%a-button=A button
%b-button=b button
%use-equipment=b button (melee button)
%rotate-weapons=usually Y
%move= left thumbstick stationary (usually)
%look=right thrumstick stationary (usually)
%primary-trigger=right trigger (usually)
%throw-greande=left trigger (usually)
%right-stick=right stick stationary
%left-stick=left stick stationary
%integrated-light=white button
%zoom=left stick moving up and down (usually)
%x-button=xbutton
%y-button=ybutton
%black-button= black button
%white-button=white button
%dpad-(either left,right,up,or down)=various sometimes A sometimes diffrent
%right-thumb=right stick clicking
%letf-thumb=letf stick clicking
%right-stick=right stick
%left-stick=left stick
%rotate-grenades=black button
%jump=a
%accept=a
