hud_item_messages

I made a txt (unicode save of course) of the hud item mesages tag for you to edit and make your own tag and weapon names. This will hopefully save time for other people on making there own strings(messages). If anyone wants me to make a hud_icon_messages(has the vehile names)then let me know.
**Note**
I do not know if someone has already done this and posted it. but i could not find a dl for one.

for those of you who don't know WTF he's talking about....this will help you add new strings to your map (for example when you pick up a pistol it says "you picked up a pistol" you can add yours to say "you picked up a battle rifle you stupid little f*cker" or w/e else u want)

to do that go to the end of his document and add your strings (if your being serious about this i suggest doing something along the lines of

You picked up a battle rifle
###END-STRING###

You picked up %d rounds for battle rifle
###END-STRING###

make sure u always hit enter and add ###END-STRING### then hit enter twice and start your next string. Also make sure at your last string u have ###END-STRING### and then another enter so it ends on a new line....save your file as a unicode-strings and put them in your data folder....open tool and put in

tool unicode-strings [source-directory]

then go to the tag it just created (tags\w/e folder u had in data) and rename it to "hud_icon_messages" and overwrite the existing one (i forget where, but i'm sure someone would be able to point it out to ya)

I got another way - just duplicate an original message in guerilla, then go into a hex editor and just change the words

ya but then u can mess up easily by erasing part of the last string by mistake (i've done it many times)
