Wow Yoyorast has come along to this. At first this seemed like another map which would never be made and everone would forget about it. Now it could be a map that people could play for hours and hours and praise Yoyorast on all his hard work! Good luck Yoyorast and "The Man" 8)

You got a point there, but remember there are still people who don't have a Xbox and some people wouldn't mind putting down Halo 2 for this.

EDIT: BigaFair, nice location you got there, Edward Jones Dome, the place where I want to be

Hey men!

Here I have a good news about the texturing issu of the map... I've always liked The abyss map, if you don't know it, I suggest you go and see/try it here, I'm sure you'll be impressed by it's unique style and its amzing custom textures... all this is made by Peter Sakievich, this guys is a really great artist, you sould also visit his website ,it's really worth it! Well thanks to him, Yoyorast Island should have a bit of his unique artistic touch cause he has kindly accepted to offer his stuff for yoyorast Island project! Well I hope Excalibur will be able to put it in in the map... I don't hope, I'm sure he can do that ;)!

The other thing is that excalibur is working hard on the map and he thinks it will take a month or so to have it completly finished...

Well that's all for the moment.

It's not only about compiling guys. I have to texture (UVW Map it) and then get a working boat ingame and a working turret ingame. I have to do third person animations for the turret and boat and texture both of them on top of that. Its gonna take a month tops but chances are it will be done before then. Plus I have to make a bunch of destructible scenery objects (about 5 or 6). I got a lot of work to do and I think 1 month is enough time.

If I had a week to try to finish that.
Heh, maybe I could.
UVW = no problem to me.

Dude, your the one asking noobish questions in the HEK Forum. From what I see, it doesn't look like you can do much.

Yeah. Most likely before then. I'm working at a good pace so it shouldn't go past christmas time. You can count on that. 8)

Maybe it was just one thing I happened not to get because I have more things thats take more time in my life.
I'm more into photoshop design.
And I just re-started HEK and I have to play basketball and a really good defensive and WR in football.
ANYWAYS!
UVW is more than in hek people use it in outside of halo and since I also model outside of halo I HAPPEN to know how to do it.

Well, excalibur, if you need any help with UVW, modeling or anything, im willing to help, although I dont have much intelligence to get it in-game, although I think i got an idea of how I would go about it. I just wanna speed this up a bit.

Hope to see some pictures out or in game soon.

Yeh I know.... It's my fault... I even don't know what is an open edge.. :) so.. But maybe this is due to the fact I didin't modeled in 3ds max...

Hey excalibur! If you think SonicTag can help you with something to speed up and help you.. I'm ok with that... maybe you should think about it....

Keep up the good work!

Just go random on the welding see what happens, if you run an STL check on only open edges, make it select them, it will show them all, you can extrude them to make them hidden and weld them all. But sometimes you cant do that, and it would increase polygon count.
