Im trying to import a shotgun thing that i made ( i just took the butt of the gun off so it looks like a pistol grip ) . but when i try importing it to shotgun/fp/fp * is that wat i need to import it too?* it comes up with an exeption error ...heres a pic
i simply extracted the model (warthog hull in my case) using HMT. Then opened 3DS Max 6 and using an 'obj2max.dle' plugin i was able to import the hull. I did some moving around of vertices but didnt delete or create a single one. I then extracted it using a 'max2obj.dle' plugin. I tried putting it back into HMT but it came up with the error like HaloFreak had. Hopefully that answers both your questions.
do you no of another program that'll allow me to do the same thing because my 30 day trial of Milkshape 3d has run out and im not allowed to pay to register.
ok, i fiiinaaalyyyy got my dad to pay up so now i hav milksape 3d. AND IT WORKS!!! so cool. My next annoyin question is how would i be able to make a new gun because obviously its unlikely that i will get the right amount of vertives again. Do i have to rebuild the level or something?
ok, accept your point. However, you may remember ages ago someone created the pelican mod for danger island (think thats its name). That was able to run in halo pc, y not a gun?
because the pelican is already in Halo. A gun with different number of verts than the original gun you are over lapping or somethign doesn't work. You can duplicate but making a fulyl custom gun does not work in HaloPC.
