is it possible (if i found the right exporter/importer thingy) to take maps, wepons and other stuff from other games put it in 3ds max6 do all that colision model, skinning mumbo jumbo and make it usuable for export it using blitzkrieg.

can it be done or is it illegal?

You can use the gbx model import.
But people mainly use it to help scale the gun they made.

wait, i thought i cant use the gbx model import to imprt other game files since they arent gbx. i have to find the right import module (for example an import module for unreal tournament so i can import their gun models and the export them as gbx models? thats wot i thought)

edit: i have a problem...how do i import gbx models? i have 3dsMax6 and james' gbxmodelimporter wont work with it. Is the blitzkrieg plugin meant to let be import the models? what have i done wrong or is there somink else i need?

did you put the james model importer in your scripts folder for 3ds max? if so, (which you should have), you need to go to maxscript--> run script--> jamesmodelimporter (or what it's named i forget). then you choose the model you want to import, which has to be in a txt file, which you get from exporting the weapon in guerilla. pm me for more details if you need help.

thats what ive done

d/l james' gbx model importer script
unRARed it
cut it and put it in script folder
opened guerilla and opened assault rifle gbx model
exported it as a txt file (gbxblahblahblah.txt)
closed guerilla
went to 3ds max 6 and opened james script
opened txt file
DIDNT OPEN!

edit: i forgot to RUN the file, it works now. YAY! how do i zoom in and rotate and stuff.

aww, nvrmind then

i wudnt be able to anyway, i cudnt find any model importers for max6 with the fps games i have on my PC.

so far i find Cinema 4d easier, whhat abt u guys?
