ok i took another look at the vid, and my explaintion makes no sense to me either now....however it is a fake video. I'm not 100% sure how it was done, but it cannot be changed by a simple value switch. Kornman and GAM cudn't even do this and they're programming gods (along w/Phraagh who didnt do nething on this as far as i know) but a simple value swich wudnt stump those guysd3ad connection wrote:wtf are you talking about. You can be a programming god and not have an ounce of deductive reasoning. I am at the primitive stages of learning programming and I decided to give this a try. Here's my thought process:Kornman and GAM cudn't even do this and they're programming gods
1. Is MC ever in thirdperson perspective?
2. When he jumps out of a vehicle, he is in thirdperson perspective for a while, but then SOMETHING switches it back.
3. Maybe if I take a search tool to isolate the switch-variable, I can lock the camera in that permanent thirdperson view!
4. So I ask my idol who made the FOV hack, and he agrees but is still reluctant. He suggests Tsearch to help me in my findings.
5. I find many variables by jumping in and out of vehicles to see which certain variables have changed.
6. I narrow it down to one final variable and it works.
7. I give it to Dave and he confirms it. He then does the dirty work and finds the distance variable and BAM.
8. He tells me the good news and I piss me pants.
Don't be discouraged just because "programming gods" can't figure it out. All you need is a little faith and some elbow grease.
UPDATE:
Dave just informed me, that I inserted the wrong offset. It is now perfectly stable. Everything works!
No promises, but expect a release tomorrow.

I do NOT come here anymore, the beta testing ended. That was way back in 2005.

Did you even watch the video? >_>Captain_Lag wrote:he's right...this is just basically the AR given zoom....3rd person cannot be done simply because there is no way to code it let alone just swapping a valueGAM wrote:dont get your hopes up kids
The one thing that we can say about fundamental matter is that it is vibrating. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be percieved as such.

Dude... How can you possibly fake a video like that one? If you know how, tell me.
