the stupid subobject problem

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

the stupid subobject problem

Post by thisismystump »

i searched on this forum as much as i could, and while there are references to this problem, nobody has givena solution. i know that when i delete some vertices that i don't need the number of subobjects goes down. i got it from 73 to 59 (max 5) but theres no way i can delete more and still have it the way i want. so... does anyone know what causes this error or how to fix it?

oh, oops. for those of you who don't know what i'm talking about the problem is such: i took the model of the scropion tank and deleted some vertices here, moved some there until i got it to what i want. then when i went to import it, it said the number of vertices was different and should i continue (yes or no). i said yes. then another thing popped up that said:

Error: Can't inject. Subobject problem.
Maximum number of subobjects allowed for this model: 5.
Your model broke into: 59.

[OK]
