my pistol (first attempt at modeling guns with splines)

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

if you're going to attempt a model with splines, i really suggest doing things in different parts. especially the barrel, because it's a tapered cylinder, not a block. and you can replicate curves (like the trigger gaurd and grip) by clicking and dragging the cursor.

but you're getting the hang of it. keep it up! multiple chamfers don't hurt either  . oh, yeh, and someone may come in telling you to use plane modeling, but not tell you how to do it... so reinforce what you know is what i say.

snufabar, the most important thing to make a different object would be the clip and slide dummy. then the barrel
Excalibur: id hunt him down and jerk him off
Excalibur: and drink the gallons of cum that come out

Slpine modeling is fun. its a good way to start off.
Im wondering how do i get a camera(in 3ds max) to lock onto an object but move and follow a spline?

you also need detail croc, it looks spline modeled then chamfered, which is exactly what it is

I think it's the worst. Polygonally modeling is far more versitile and easy to use.

Looks good, just needs details.... I only just started plane modeling (well what I did was make a box and extrude and then moved vertices.) I cant get details on it or Mesh smoothing..
