Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Open edge error

Post by Skatestick »

When I go to command promp and type the tool structure command it starts as usual but then it shows an error:

C:\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition>tool structure levels\xtra3 xtra3
Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
building intermediate geometry...
building collision geometry...
### ERROR edge #2 is open (red).
### ERROR edge #6 is open (red).
### ERROR edge #11 is open (red).
### ERROR failed to build collision geometry.
### ERROR failed to import collision bsp.

How do I fix the open edges in my model?!? Please help! Thanks

Yeah, an STL Check would be handy to find out where.. select all faces then select STL Check from the modifier stack.

erase them and create new ones. Make sure when ur doing it you connect the verticies counterclock wise so the faces will face outward and not inward

If they are in mid-air you might create some polygons to make the model closed. If they're not in mid-air you might try delete the face and re-create it.
