Is freewebs.com a good site for building a website? And is it ABSOLUTELY free? As in, not even a penny every 20 years? No stupid spam, emails, etc?

Yeah, but they have crappy support and their templates look like crap.

It would be much easier to get a server for $3.00 a month. You can get one at http://www.neronhosting.com.

I don't care if it looks a bit bad, I just care if you can put forums and registration and avatars and stuff. And a homepage for a message board.

No you have to pay if you want apache, so no you cant have a forum oranything in PHP on there. I use http://www.compactvision.net but they've disabled hosting signups till jan 5th coz of spam, illegal sites etc. But after jan 5th make sure u get an account, u get loads of stuff including Cpanel X

Yes. It is, I built my .... abondoned site there. And yes their templates are crap why? Cuz they are premade...sure my site doesn't look great but like I said abondoned, may/maynot work on it. This is definitly the best choice to start out on. They probably have the best free, no strings attached basic site hosting. And if you want php like stated it's gonna cost ya.

Will freewebs work for ya? Yes, and it sorta grows on ya. As for invisionfree forums... don't like em'. But I'm a phpbb supporter so whatever floats your boat.

well www.flatface.net, and www.dk3.com have some good auto forums, and freewebs (not sure on pop-ups and stuff though), ad they enable php to, your wont have to pay a penny either, and now im just advertising it, lol, oh wel, thats my 2 cents (though like i said it wont cost you 2 cents)
