I'm not dead

Post by jimmsta »

Hello EVERYONE!

I'm back, after a few months away from the entire scene... Looks like CLuIS's HHTv5 pulled me back into the swing of things...

At the moment, I'm attempting to create a program for LINUX users, so that no emulation will be necessary to edit the map files for Xbox and Mac maps. (PC will be included just because Mac maps are the same).

I will also be releasing a Win32 Port.

The application is based on the program that started the frenzy of halo-hacking, HaloMapExpander.

My attempts at getting CE maps to be decrypted has not been a good one... I still need to know what the Magic Number is for CE maps. PC and Xbox Maps have already been defined, and I suppose that everyone on the forum will think that I'm going backwards with this program, but I'm not...

I'm attempting to give back to the community once more. With the soon-to-be released "Final FINAL" version of WinHME, and a tweaked HaloMapExpander executable, I'm working furiously on getting things done.

In case anyone is interested, the source code for HME is dated September 6th, 2003. I will NOT EVER release the source code, unless PfhorSlayer Says it's ok. This is an agreement that I agreed upon about a year ago. I will not break that promise.

N-, MonoxideC, PfhorSlayer, and anyone that I've missed: Thank you.

I meant to say that the version of CVS code that I'm basing my app off of is from that date...

My modifications are all from yesterday and today... Heck, I've even gotten CE maps to be recognized at this point, and will have bitmap/sound extraction working under linux in no time... I hope, at least...

JIMMSTA!!! Good to see ya! :D

Anyway, I don't have anything against it, it's just that I doubt that many people here would end using/needing it :?

The wrath of another useless program has been unleashed... to xbins and xbox-scene...

Read the NFO, and you'll understand how not-far I've gotten with the project....
