Why are the models inside-out?

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Yea, I have MAX 6 and got the obj2MAX plugin. When I view my models they look like this...

Any help would be appreciated.

it is made for max 6. It also does the same thing when I import in ms3d and Maya. Is there a plugin to reverse backfaces for any of those programs. I'll admit I'm not the greatest modeler, but I know what i'm doing. I've searched the forums for the answer to this problem and I couldn't find it.

*whistles*

Right click on the name of the viewport in the top left corner of the viewport
Go down to configure viewport
Check "Force 2-Sided"
Press ok

And viola. It should work fine. Remember, you need to check that in the render preferences as well, which is just located in the normal render screen. I only have Max 5.1, but it should be something similar

Select model, convert to editable poly, select all faces, flip (or flip normals), voila
