|===-- AC's Conversions Map Pack Release --===| w/Patch
Actually, that is just a flag position swap I did.
I actually found out that SC MP will open in Sparkedit 2.5(so we can position flags and vehicles and stuff). Only thing is that if we move the flags to another spot other than the 2 they already are at(doesn't matter which flag is at which original spawn), the spawns tend to screw up and one team wont spawn. I actually have gotten the flag in security panel area to spawn outside without problems. The flag by the locked door in SP doesn't like to be moved though.
P.S. I'm glad to find out that my map will syslink.

Digital, I also agree with you to a point. Perhaps the proposed map pack shouldn't be limited to being called a sp>mp conversion pack. Maybe it would be better served to be simply called a 'conversion' pack so maps like this can be included.Digital71 wrote:Even though I agree, that is an awsome map, it's not a SP -> MP conversion, so it doesn't really belong in this map pack (hence the name [SP -> MP] Mappack).BigSnaggle wrote:You should put in the HCE conversion ViperNeo just did...awesome stuff.
So far there aren't enough workable (compressable/linkable) sp>mp maps that will fill up a whole map pack.
Just an idea. Hopefully there be more conversions released soon to fill that void. I know that once H2 comes out my little mind will be busy for quite awhile on something else.

As of right now, there are 10 in the list in the first page and 9 of them are compressable. Scotty said that hht4 can compress "Halo" and TSF said he has 2 more (that's a total of 12). If we also include Spammy's AOTCR outdoor coversion, that will be 13.fezzman wrote:Digital, I also agree with you to a point. I think that I might have given it the wrong title.... I was really aiming at BSP conversions. But I didnt want to lead everyone to believe that it had to be a true BSP instead of scenery of a BSP. Anyways... let know from now on, for the record this is BSP conversions and SP-MP conversions... all in the same. Thanks!Digital71 wrote:Even though I agree, that is an awsome map, it's not a SP -> MP conversion, so it doesn't really belong in this map pack (hence the name [SP -> MP] Mappack).BigSnaggle wrote:You should put in the HCE conversion ViperNeo just did...awesome stuff.

It is possible to write a sperate launcher that you open everytime you want to play halo... instead of launching the halo default.xbe you replace that xbe with a launcher that is written to be a chooser for each installation of a mapPack.
Like so:

Each would link to a MapPack installation... in the example of NMP1.1; when you selected it from the list it would go to the haloNMP.xbe file and then you would see the same thing that you see when you go through the game demos link now. But the game demos link idea is flawed, because the more MapPacks you add the more cummbersome it becomes. A centralized Launcher is neccessary but I cannot find anyone with the know how to write it.
I know this is getting off topic... so please, if everyone wants to discuss this further lets continue it on another thread... but those are my ideas on the matter in a nutshell. A big nutshell
