i think this idea is stupid why not just compress with several halo folders with there own ui and xbe not everyone has huge hdd that they can put tons of caches on to i mean i have a standard halo with nmp added i have a bg halo with a sidewinder nmp added on i mean come on its very easy using xsnowmanx's halo ui editor and hmk come on simple stuff 26 map without restart. if u restart u can get several more xbe's with 26 more maps without rebooting apiece

i've had HCE 08 beta 3 for a while now, it works great. It even works with TSF's new Silent Cartographer mod, as in backing it up to a folder and loading it onto the cache at will, as long as you ran the patched XBE before hand. HCE can have multiple filepaths to launch HALO, so i have one being the normal default.xbe, and another, patched.xbe

well does this like grab the patch and decompress and make a cache patch it then launch it through halo or do u have to go into halo find the map that has the same cache and launch it man i have 52 multiplayer maps without rebooting using my custom taylored nmp and standard xbes yeah cause like if u have to have all the caches on ur hdd i wouldnt do this seeing as how aches arfe twice the size of the maps

peek-a-boo!
wow! this is an old thread and i see no proggies yet... oh yea its cause the ones of us who have c/c++ knoledge cant get our hands on XDK to program somthing like this. and if we could there is a decompiled xbe.... so in other words its hard to come by (roughly $30000 to get it) i think
