Movie Capture Programs

Post by latot »

I was wondering what program is most favoured for making films (that are compatible with Halo).

I have tried Camtasia and Fraps, but when I hit F9 to record Halo just freezes, and I have to manually reset my PC because it freezes. It never used to do that... I've made movies before... It only began to happen when I got a new graphics card... but why would that cause my PC to crash?

So does anyone have a solution, or an alternate program I could try?

Thanks.

i have done a topic like this a while ago and it has a few programs listed on it there's camtasia and fraps, but only if you have a good gfx card, b/c they eat fps like there is no tommorrow, search for my topic, i forget what it is called, of course, a mod may have deleted it to make room for other topics (most of them being made by noobs that didn't use the search button, or just spam
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

i was gonna say gamecam but he stole it from me, i had probs with fraps and camtasia, (camtasia the most) gamecam is great, it can record @ 30 fps, without dropping, and halo will run almost like normal, or like normal if u have good specs, for me it runs smoothly, http://www.planetgamecam.com/index.php?locid=download is where its @ download the gamecam 1.2full and its nice, my comp has these specs

2.8 celeron processer, intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV grphx controller/512 mb of ddram,

Well, I'm going to use my Digital Camera from now on for movies. Works better than Fraps to me.

I find that Fraps works good for screenshots and short moveis only if u have a really good video card...like a NVida GE force...but those r kinda expensive...but hey....halo is the koolest game on the planet...i would waste a couple hundred dollars for that game to make it a little more fun!
