LAN party question

im going to mod my box, you know, the standard xecutor 2 pro and evox thing, but i was wondering if it would affect other peoples games? when i get these i intend to mod a few of my halo maps, and im wondering if it will work like on the pc version, where if the hosts map is modded, it effects them all. any help would be appreciated.

you try to play with system link and you have halo maps and they don't it will not work.
