Change the name of your xbox

How would i change the name of my xbox (The one that shows up above the xbox in system link)Right now my name is Saucy and i saw someone with one that was the word left with a pic of a moving analog stick

You can go to e\udata and get the nickname.xbn. Open it in a hex editor and you'll see the name of your xbox at the top. You can change it there, remember that you need a "." in between each letter.

It's way easier to download xboxtools from xbins, it's an app that runs on your xbox, and it has a name changer built in. You can find the special characters/images on xbox-scene if you search for them. You type them in like this:

%b-button
%a-button
%left-stick
%right-stick

etc.

im doing it with hexeditor but every time i put it back on my xbox and play halo it just changes it ex. i wrote in sam with "."s in between each letter but wen i play halo it will change to prancer, The Big l., and Saucy

all of you guys are doing the hard way on naming your xbox all i did was play DOA3 for high score and the name you put in is the name of ur box!!

Sorry Necrosis but it's a lot easier to use that program and be able to change your xbox's name in 5 seconds any time you want than to go buy a crappy game like doa and get a high score every time you want to rename your xbox.
