Yeah... but what's the point? If you want to make it THAT much like Counter-Strike, go play C-S. I make my CS-2-Halo mods Counter-Strike with Halo stuff. So it's somewhat both... makes a new game pretty much.

I was excited to check this mod out but when I played it, it was very disapointing. It took me forever to brake the glass with a plama Grenade and could not at all with the plasma gun. You should make multi levels with the glass instead of just one. On the last level when the glass breaks it should be a death fall or close to it. It just seemed like it was rushed :oops:

Ok, I'm working on the glass's time to break. Also, the guns do no damage so that you can only melee and use grenades (read the first post, pay attention to detail). Also, if I made you start on glass, AND die when you fell... what happens when you instantly respawn? This isn't Counter-Strike where the glass reloads... all you'd do is fall and die continuously.

Also, that is very rude seeing as how you didn't think most of those factors through. The map was not rushed, I had to sit and contemplate how to fix the above errors from the conversion to Halo's settings.

the glass should break as soon as a grenade hits it.. i think thats how it was in cs (what made it fun). if the glass doesn't respawn then the match wud end very soon. it has to respawn or the map is "fuked up". lol mayb instead of guns you shud put like a sword.. then u can kamikaze , muhuhahahaha.

also in the other map (fy_iceworld), if u start out with plasma pistol its still good cuz no ones gunna use the crappy thing.. and gunna switch anyway.. just make sure the map is longer and bigger than the original iceworld cuz .. its halo.

if only my lazyass knew how to mod.

a couple days, it's only one room and didn't require a lot of time, but I didn't rush through it in like 30 minutes.

ok blink, I think that this is a good kind of 'concept' map. There are a few things wrong with it (spawn points outside, almost unbreakable glass, not respawning glass, etc) and I think that you could create a great map using glass panels. How about a map that uses the idea of knocking out the panels from under people. Perhaps have a map where snipers just have to shoot the glass out from under people, and otherwise they do little damage. I think the best thing you could do right now, though, is make the glass respawnable. And how about using the actual glass from prisoner? It breaks more like glass. Good luck and good mod.

Thanks, i never thought of using a map with actual glass. I don't know how to make the glass respawn or break faster... I can look into the breaking faster, but no clue on the respawn. Sorry, I'm still pretty new to map building. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

the glass uses in this level was taken from the vengeance map (i believe) and was specifically made tougher to provide cover, might be poss. to make it weaker but i'm not sure, also the glass in prisoner is part of the bsp, not scenery, so it can't be manipulated. respawning glass may be just around the corner

Yeah, I used Vengeance (I think I said that in the original post). Anyways, does someone think they could post a ppf of this without the spawn out of the level? I can't seem to find it.

Yea its possible to make the glass weaker, just download the collsion model plugin and it will allow u to edit the glass's health

yup, and if there are any plasma pistols on the floor you'd have to make sure those models were nulled out as well or else you'd be picking up a lotta useless plasma pistols as the FP models were deleted.

You know what would be damn cool....a glass cube maze or just a maze period!!! You know I think I'll work on that.

Blink182house let me know what you find out about the glass wall "health" maybe you could make them pretty much indestructable and I could use them for my maze mod

maybe all your guys should join up and do the halo pc map.. the one that has sidewinder type bases.. the HALO environment.. etc.. everyone should LOVE that.. or make a sp -> mp conversion of halo.... add ur glass stuff to it.. w.e have fun. DO IT FOR EVERYONE.. not just me... pluss it would be.......................

it doesnt have to be IT. but the same scenery and... feel.. the green grass.. the trees..
