New Map - Hostile Takeover *UPDATED*
I'm currently doing a major revamp of this map with a ton of help from Bassist-X. Smaller rooms are definately being considered. many, many cosmetic changes as well. Yes I'm definately excited about this map, I also thought the rooms are a little on the large side too so it's all being considered, right now we're cleaning up and improving some of the gameplay and cosmetics. Ya know, spice things up so the level doesn't look so monotonous. There's been a new base added which will be released in an upcoming version, I love it.

the reason i think this mod came out so good is 1. it had a great design. 2. he had some nice blocks to work with and he used em right. 3. he didnt over do it.
fezzman if u wanna make a thumbnail all u gotta do is just take an ingame pic, make sure its the right size and right settings.(can be done by extracting one of the thumbnails from the ui)
but i guess u can do that for future maps. i hope u keep the hottness comming!

Yea i made the rooms smaller and add more stuff to the rooms...and i was going to add a worthog..but its kinda messed up lol....were you guys going to make it into a helicopter ir something? ANd if you flip a barricade upside down it makes good place to put guns and stuff

I'm currently resizing the rooms as well. I don't know what the deal is with the warthog. I'm thinking the NMP team injected the shaft ring over it and something went wrong. You can make pretty cool little tunnels with the barricades that are flipped over.

Yea thats what i was thinking about the worthog and do you have any probs with bushs disappearing cuz some times they all disappear. maybe its me lol and the tanks is a fuel rod gun that you can drive and if you melee it, it kills you verry weird lol...when do you think this will be updated?

Well here's the deal. The NMP team injected all sorts of horribly strange and glitchy stuff that I'm trying to get rid of. They screwed over the warthog, the tank, bushes, all sorts of stuff. That shaftring is shafting that whole section of meta and I'm trying to figure out how to just get rid of it. We only plan on having one vehicle in this map as it's kinda small to be putting all vehicles in so it's just going to remain a ghost for now and maybe a warthog later on, it all just depends. But there are some major changes that are happening with the map from the current version so when V2 is released it's gonna have a much different feel to it. A lot more hotel-like and homely, not as stark as it used to be. It's going to be exciting to get this thing evolved to where it needs to be.

I don't know for sure but I think that the spawns are the same. I think that the game just grabs the spawns closest to a flag and makes them one team. I've never really tested it before. Speedball that I had some of the spawns mixed up.
Anyways, i didn't want any spawns on the first floor because I designed this map with the Invasion game type in mind. This way you have to take the enemy flag up (or down) to the enemy's flag station. I wanted players to spawn relatively close to each flag station. That was the plan anyways.

There are Player Spawns and the MP Flags. Originally we thought that the Player Spawns had nothing to do with the MP Flags which act as spawn points in CTF matches, but apparently they do have something to do with it. There must be Player Spawns along with a group of MP Flags in order to spawn a team correctly. Also whatever flag the MP Flags are closest too is what determines what color they will spawn. So to answer your question, they are somewhat the same in that they are linked together. I'm still working on how exactly it is the respawn system in halo works, for instance how on some levels it seems to tend to spawn you higher or lower in maps like Prisoner, although it may just be totally random.
