UPDATED July 18th

New level mod for BG, Team-HASTE! I am in need of beta testers! Here's a link to the PPF download


I call the map 'HASTE' for it's based on 4 bases, with 4 bridges connecting them. The 4 bridges are a must-cross, yet they have no cover at all. This map is named Team Haste due to it's TEAM WORK! You need someone else to boost you up to get the flag, you need your teamates to cover you when you cross a bridge etc.

This map is pretty big, so it's probably a lot of fun with a bunch of people. I haven't had time to invite friends over to play it yet, so I'd appreciate if someone would try this in a group and let me know how it plays (or possible XBC match?).

i like the map, it big and fun. There are 2 problems with the map, there is 1 spawn outside of the map in the air under the bottom floor which leads to the person death. the other is one floor panel is missing on the bottom level, which can be easy for someone to get to the bloodgulch floor (unless you wanted it that way). The things i suggest is moving the 2 bases to opposite coners to make CTF harder, spread the spawns out to all 4 sides, make a little ramp up to the flag (its hard to get on top of the base by jumping or loosing life by grenade jumping) and making another ramp to the bottom level so its fair to each team if you move the bases to opposite coners.

Wow, this map is good, it's really dominated by the snipers up top though. Maybe flying vehicles would be good, and i don't like how when u mess up getting the rocket in the center bottom base, you fall down and cant get back up. It's nice how it's hard to get the rocket cause u have to jump over everything, or you can just throw a nade. But what happens when u fall down into the pit with no nades? Kinda gay and will make the player down there bored and all. Make a portal out into the sky above so u just fall and die, or make it go somewhere so people aren't bored. Would really be the downfall of this mod if you kept it like that.

i played it for a few in slayer. there's a spawn that is in mid air causing a death by fall. the teleporter underneath the ramp doesn't work. noticed the small platform, the teleporter and the small bush that just kinda hang underneath the rest of the platforms with no apparrent purpose. nice touch with the tank though(whether intentional or not). oh and it would be nice if the blue tiles could regenerate, but i don't know if that's possible or not. i think it'd be a good game for 6-8. oh and i think it would be nice if you put in a couple more invisibilities

Thanks for all the reviews, sorry I didn't know about the spawn of death (lol). Are there any invisible panels? I'm trying to make this a new map where you can't get to Bloodgulch. I'm going to fix/add some stuff right now, I'll try and post an updated version later tonight!

-The portal under the ramp is a trick. Some people may be fooled to thinking it's a ACTUAL portal (which it isn't).
-The bush and panel, you could see those? I thought they weren't accessible in gameplay...
-Tank? I thought there was a ghost...

-Yes, the map is meant to be somewhat of a sniper battle (so you can cover your allies as they return or retrieve the flag).
-Flying vehicles, I'm not sure but we could give it a try. I'll have to add a roof though so you can't reach original Bloodgulch.
-The point is that there is ONE rocket launcher, and it's hard to get to. If you get stuck down there, you can't get back up so you either wait for someone else to try and get the rocket launcher and shoot them, or kill yourself with grenades. I'll try making it deeper though, so you instantly die upon fall.

-I wanted the bases on one side, so you have to cross 2 bridges from your spawn to get to the flag/cover/good-weapons.
-Yeah, I just put all the spawns down real quick. I'll probably move them to up against the little walls by the spawns to stop snipers from gettin' you upon respawn.
-The point of the flag being up there is that you have to have a teammate boost you up.
-The ramp to the bottom is fair to both teams, both teams have to go from their spawn across 1 and a half bridge.

suggestions:
spread the spawns to the bottom floor too
make a complete bottom floor to fight on and move it closer to the top floor
i don't like how you fall to get the RL
no fake tele
fix the glitchy overlapping blocks
more ghosts

-The rocket launcher is set on glass, you won't fall if you jump correctly. The point of this is so you either don't have some dumbass running around with the rocket launcher, only outside that building (dominating and camping the RL respawn). Also, so if another idiot shoots out the glass, then everyone including himself is screwed on getting the RL.
-I'll remove the fake teleport.
-I will fix the glitch overlaps.
-I am going to add 1 ghost to each spawn area

I personally like the fake teleport. Yea deeper is better for the rocket room, but other than that it's good. Spawns down below is a bad idea cause if someone spawns down below it takes like 3 mins to get to teh top, and even if they do, there is only like 2 ways up, which can be camped and guarded with snipers, so that sux.....

I agree. Thanks for pointing that out. Plus, the whole point is that it takes you a long time to get to the 'good stuff' (being the RL and the ghost), and that would defeat the purpose.

Sure. Check the files forum for the bsp remover. I think they used it in the void a few months back. But be warned, from what i understand once you remove the bsp with it, you can't edit the map in SE anymore.

hey this is a good mod but i think some of the player spawns are messed up cus i spawn and im falling then dead u might wanna fix that player spawn its near the red base opposite of the caves.

keep the cool mods coming....

Hey guys, I fixed some stuff and added a couple ghosts. I can't find the spawn you guys are talking about though :? Sorry, if it continues please someone correct it and make a ppf and send it to me, i'll host it on my site again.

I'm going to update the ppf on my site at 12am on the 17th, since I said above that this download is only available til the 16th. So we'll have a round-2-beta.

yeah there's a way down to the rest of the map without dying. i saw the platform and bush and what not. and the tank is down by the base and it's completely invisible aside from the seat. check it out. just get in the ghost and ride down to the ground.

Yeah, my friend and I discovered this yesterday. Also, I know where the spawn is of instant death, so I'm going to fix that right now.
