common sense here people.... bloodgulch is 10 letters, beaver creek is 11 and maybe its just me but i think 11 is more than 10 but maybe thats just me
i i have not yet found a good beaver creek mod because u cant use a bg since u cant hex bloodgulch to beavercreek.
scottish guy why dont u pay attention, if u took a modded bg and tried to replace beavercreek with it u would have to hex bloodgulch to beavercreek. Not beavercreek to bloodgulch, damn. People these days
The first quote by you clearly referrs to hex naming bloodgulch to beavercreek. As far as your second quote I'm a bit confused. You can easily hex bg to bc. Are you referring to something other than changing the map name in hex? I think that's what thescottishguy and I are both reading into your post.

I need to do some shopping. Where can I find a much larger :roll: ROLLEYES :roll:

ok, sorry i just realised i was reading it backwards :) to use a modded bloodgulch map in the beavercreek slot is no problem either , where the hex would have been
62 6c 6f 6f 64 67 75 6c 63 68 00 (bloodgulch.) you would just enter
62 65 61 76 65 72 63 72 65 65 6b (beavercreek which is one character extra, you can just input it by replacing the 00 that follows the last character of bloodgulch with 6b which is the last character of beavercreek

i'm pretty sure i've got a handle on what you're explaining now, if i'm still off base let me know

Monday JULY 19th is Perfect. Every1 must submit their maps along with the appropriate graphic for thier map. Mine will be out by then.

i'm back in town tomorrow, so i'll be finishing up everything (and working on the Aztec map, which will take a few more days still). I'm just waiting on a confirmed list of the maps to finish the UI, so I can add the descriptions and images for each mapl.

How about we keep the July 19th deadline just for map submissions, then cast a vinal vote if needed (the final vote would have just updated maps and the current top 13), try out the final list, then release the final pack when the ui is ready (a week later maybe?)... what do u think?... am i missing anything?

Sounds good. Just hit me up when you've decided on which maps to add, so I can put them on the UI.

Somebody give me a summary update on this, how are you guys doin here? Blink if you have any questions about implementation, PM me and ill walk you through the easiest way to put this together. In fact you all would make Blink's job alot easier if in your final maps you would change your build number to....lets say 2280, that'll never conflict with other versions of Halo. Halo NMP will go down in build numbers FYI.

To clear up, I didn't ask goat not to include any "new map" because of anything other than I'd really like to have CXE and NMP have totally separate purposes. A lot of modded maps of bloodgulch, sidewinder, hang em High and such are Incredable, but NMP is going to stick to new maps, so CXE should really use that nitch to its advantage! I'd really love to play a game that had the best of modded maps.

You guys are doing a good job here, very soon now Halo NMP will stick to only maps that are new, and personally as a modder, I would love to see a version of Halo that stuck with modded reg Halo maps. Team NMP has discussed Chainlinking a version of all these games together. So Halo Reg--->Halo CXE--->Halo NMP then back to Halo again. :wink:

Open it in hex, and there's a big number on like the first line or something... i think you change the last 4 digits to 2280.

This is awesome!!! one big happy family! Ultra's involvement is like Gold! , I like this old map idea... would this include maybe using some heavily modded nmp maps ... maybe? :oops: Like GElite weapons by jkjk...And i'd really like to see a modded version of plateau too!

Mr.MURDER is working on a toatally modded new version of nightwinder, and hoping to submit it... btw, MR. MURDER is very committed to this project too, so when his maps r ready, make sure u check them out, before casting the final vote, this goes the same for all the active modders (MR.INSANE, Genocide, junit, jkjk, am i missing any?)... any word on an updated torture chamber yet?

yo goat, can u like change the main post to include "MAPS DUE ON JULY 19th" and change the main headline to "Halomods CXE (Custom Xbox Edition) Maps done July 19th." Just so people know it and it is more public for the other modders.

NMP's involvement is really an astounding thing. I fully support the triple link btw nmp regular and cxe.

also, has anyone here tested out my BC - "over the creek" mod. I really think it should be put in the poll.. is the poll ending the 19th or what? i know "submissions have to be in" but when r people gonna vote? not that they havent been voting for the past 3 weeks. . .

yea so id like my over the creek mod to be put into consideration and gj w/ gettin ultra in on this. must be the 9 page thread we got here. :P

I think there should be an actual [poll] on a new thread in the XBOX NTSC section with all of the maps. Ask the moderators if it is okay and to make it a sticky for about a 2days-a week.
