help with uvw mapping in 3ds max

Post by coodude25 »

how exactly do i use uvw mapping, because when i selected the faces i wanted the uvw map created for and then created the uvw map it worked fine, but then when i tried to make another uvw map on different faces in the same object it didnt turn out right. do i need to detatch each seperate piece that i want a uvw map for? or is there something i am overlooking that allows me to choose which faces i want to uvw map?
thanks in advance

once you have the correct UVW map for one selection of faces.... convert your level back to an editable mesh. then repeat the process on another selection of faces. this will seal the UVW for each part of the level. and sepearate it from other UVW's

hope that helped PM me for further questions...
