Does anyone know why the Halo 2 armor v1.41...

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

makes bitmaps.map go to 1 GB? An armor skin shouldn't increase bitmaps.map by 700 megs....

I havnt used it, but I'm guessing he reskinned everything with HIGH quality stuff making each image size larger and thus making the total size bigger? Just a shot in the dark :? I mean, from the sounds of it it would probably be a much bigger file..

edit: Did it come with different models for the weaps? If so, maybe that would also do it (and add onto the already large size of the bitmaps)

But would it be 700 megs big? I don't think so... Plus, it doesn't look THAT much different from 1.1, which is what I'm using now.

Yeah, I know, but I'm just curious as to why v1.41 is so huge on bitmaps.map...

I ran into this problem on my Halo 2 mod. When doing the meta swap for the cyborg hands multi it increases the filesize. If you don't want the bitmaps that big, dont apply the hands multipurpose.
