Overview base exterior *IMG*
PWNT!
Finally we got to some playing in our team, and it paid off real well. It wasn't because the base looked like a green-white cow, but because the base worked surprisingly well when played with a few players at a time. Even though the beta was only the base exterior, it can deliver an enormous amount of fun: "I HAD YOU THERE" "Oh no, you were up there, I didn't see you, that's unfair"...

One of the things about UVW Unwrap (for the textures) is that it won't let you edit the model anymore after you applied it... You can, but the UVWs will be all messed up and you'll have to start the mapping right where you left off. That's why we won't apply the textures until an element is completely finished and we're happy with it (we apply different UVW-maps to the different buildings, so we can edit the UVW-maps quite easily and detailed).

Zex on the beach
Madrox is getting started on the beach, although no visual representation of that yet. We have a lot of resources for that, since most of the E3-demo plays on the beach. ZexGX turned the photos he took (see last week's Update) into very nice textures with bumpmapping and such, ready to be applied to the beach and various other objects.
Stairs-o-rama
This week we also annoyed LouisWu and Warbow with our annoying questions, basically asking them to map out the entire base for us. There are some things in the base that the camera didn't point at or went through, like the 2 stairs which go up from the base floor. After some research we finally found out where they lead, so, if you guys read this, huge thanks to you. We would also like to thank SubNovas Boxer, who was nice enough to draw us the overview of the base. So, another thanks goes out to him.
