wow... i REALLY dont feel like reading all the pages... but can someone please help me with a question --not sure if it has been asked before-- but when i have the skin put on my bitmaps.map jumps to like 1 million kb's... or something... just checked... it is 942,348 kbs instead of 300,000 kbs... i have other mods on too but they never had a problem wit the other versions of the skin... this also makes it a big hassel to ewither replace my bitmpas or move it so i can put test mods on...
it does make it reallyu big but as of yet theres no other way to edit the smaller multipurpose drasticlally as Ive done it witout doing this.
it does this because of the uppign of the magic.. I dont understand it.. or how the hell one texture is 600 megs.. but its the only way I can get it to work.. but I've been trying.. thanks for the feedback..

hey ker, i think that you got the broken rign idea from the origional Halo, if I am correct? or it was that video showing the very first ever playable version of halo, back whent hey had a speargun and it wus 3rd person haha.
I did see that there was a broken ring in that video.. but not before I finished this.. I was just scrollign through hmt to see things that I could cleverly change..that not many other people can do.. and found the rign was up my alley
im having trouble getting the shader 2 work i used the grunt one, but i get an orange strip down one side when i replace mc's reflection shader. and in game mc sort of glows a bit orangy. this maybe be ovious but im new to halo modding.
also with the hands thing do u mean do the whole update (magic + etc)thing before or after u insert the new texture?
