Your bitmaps aren't applying to the right models. This has never happened to me before. Try reinstalling Halo and try again. I apologize for not replying to your messages sooner. I'm up on a ranch with very limited computer access. My mother's boyfriend doesn't let many people use his computer for long, and the only internet up here is dial-up.

I hate to do this but I am a total newb and I can't figure out how to apply this. I have all the modding apps and have added a few maps but I can't figure this out. I have read everything I can find also.
I assume I have to use one of the PPF apps, but do I apply it to "bitmaps.map" or do I have to apply it to each individual maps bitmaps?

Well whenever I try PPF-O-Matic it comes up I pick the Image being that bitmaps.map and then when I press the select button for patch it crashes. It also does that if I select the patch first and then try to select the image.
As for PPFMaster, I can select both and then hit Apply but it gives me this error:
sh: -c: line 1: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `''
sh: -c: line 2: syntax error: unexpected end of file (2)
I hit ok but in the bottom it still says Status: Patching but it never goes away. Is this supposed to take a really long time? I am on 2ghz G5 iMac.
Am I doing something wrong?

To solve the PPF-O-Matic error, right click on a PPF file, click Get Info. In the dialog box, make the dropdown box show the PPF-O-Matic Application, then hit the button underneath. Then, just double click the PPF and choose the .map and it won't crash.

When you start up Halo you should see a dialog box, if not hold option. At the top you will see a drop down shaders menu. If you can't turn on the shaders then it will not work.
Long story short it will not work for your card, like my dual G4 800mhz with a Geforce2 it does not use shaders and makes halo look like crap.
My G5 iMac with ATI 9600 does a much better job, but still is to slow in my opinion (I want high textures, full res, and 2x AA).
