Has anyone found a fix for the DXTweaker in Halo?It works with Halo 2, and other games for me. But on Halo 1 it stalls at the boot screen and crashes.

As i said before, make sure you have DX9.0c and Net Framework 2.0. For Vista people make sure you run it in Admin mode.

Just found this and after doing the fixes in Timberland and gephyrophobia i can play it all fine (without getting into problems of other multiplayer players that see me not but i see them or so.

So all in all i must say this thing is just awesome. Very very well done!

I got the DXTweaker to work by running in 800 x 600 in -window mode.

EDIT: For vista

Lame fix though <_< I'd much rather run at 1280 x 768 in window w/o it.

I'll say right now you may NOT upload Halo FTW on filefront. If you want to 'distribute', then link to this topic instead of hosting it on your own. >_>

@Nessa and Pepsi: FTW Mac has been hosted on sourceforge, which means it will not be taken down unless i take it down, so no losing the link adn download like with filefront.

Great mod, but how come I can only play on Epic mode? It's not even very difficult, it feels like normal mode to me. I want to see grunts in the very first level, not just elites. It takes away from the feel of the game. How do I change this?

to change that simply replace all the maps in your backup folder with the ones currently located in your maps folder, then start halo and you'll be able to choose from any of the difficulties.

You won't be able to view this beautiful mod, but thats the price you pay. Other than that, there's no way to play on the other difficulties, unless of course, you mod his mod. Good luck with that.

Or you follow the "Pimp Your UI" tut and reverse what I did. I didn't delete the difficulties, I simply moved them so you couldn't choose them. Putting them back is cake is you follow the tut and apply it to the right place.

Just follow what I said about the main menu options and do it for the campaign difficulties.
