Omfg, what should w3e do after we download it, then do we extract it with what map? Then, what do we do? Help! And can u guys make a recent Server?

could you make this into a switch program... i dont know what they are called, but i can discribe it to you..

1. You open the program. You press a button on it, and it switches blood gulch with The Maw. You play it, The End.

*Backfire* - you cant play any other BG mod or normal BG without starting a game THEN swithing.... SOOO.. my next point...

2. You exit Halo, open the program AGAIN. Press revert to Blood Gulch. It returns your BG to normal, and you can play it again, YAY!!!



Reason i say this is because NO ONE was playing the maw, so i thought i would backup the maw and put my bloodgulch back in.. to my surprise, it was still named The maw, and CTD'd every time i tried to play it. :(

HELP!!

Everytime i download a mod, and start up a internet server, and people join it goes real laggy then the people that join het kicked.
Is it becuse of the mod or my internet connection (56k) :oops: :oops:

While I think it's incredible that someone could assemble a map like this with all the vehicles and it's monstrous size, I have to point out a few things that could be better.

1) The Pelicans: I just wanna know, what's the point of having Pelicans if you can't use them to access other parts of the map? They are pretty much completely enclosed in their starting "rooms", and it kinda defeats the purpose.

2) The Pelicans... again: The control on the Pelican is fairly insensitive. This problem is easily modified through use of HMT's tag editor though.

3) The red base is far superior to the blue base, complete with a bunch of Pelicans (which I guess you could drop on people), turrets, better sniper points, and teleporters that let you access even more vehicles. The blues have a few vehicles, a sniper spot with limited shooting areas and a lack of turrets.

Considering that this map is fairly tough to design as a multi player map, I'm impressed that you did what you did. Nice.

Well actually, the pelicans are supposed to be clumsy like that. I've tried them out in their actual form and in Halo CE mods. They're always clumsly, poor steering vehicles that "can't turn on a dime", as Echo 419's pilot put it.

Also, because of the lack of a solid collision model for the pelican, you can actually cram that beast through the narrow tunnels in the Maw.

I am using a patch program that Wazza found that allows me to create a patch program that will convert the ui, bitmaps, and bloodgulch map in a few seconds. Of course, the program is separated into "install mod" and "uninstall mod". If anyone wants this, please email me.

u people do realize that this was made in 2004?
and that ce toys (pelican, longsword, scarab, mythos) have advanced a lot.

for 1 pelicans now have colision. and landing gear for that matter. and wingmounted missle launchers. and dont forget that they can now carry vehicles.
this map is a little outdated. ce had a similar map called warthog run.
