Mimesis just wasn't made for map packs, give that one up guys. I think the autoinstaller is easy enough as it is now.

You know I never realized that in my all my time I've spent on these forums. I mean 50 :shock: Wow! Now lets look at some numbers. 12 maps were included with the original release of the game. 9 more were released later on via map pack and Xbox Live. 9+12=21. Ok, now with 50 slots to start from, we get 50-21=29. 4 great mods have already been released on Mimesis leaving us with 25 slots, for those mathematically challeged people this means 1/2 the slots are already gone. How many maps are currently in the h2:ce pack? 7? That leaves 18 slots left for the remainder of Mimesis. Assuming absolutley no more new maps are published until the launch of Prometheus, and that 6 good maps are released a month that gives Mimesis 3 months. Its supposed to host the best and most orignal maps. It wasn't even going to host mods at all in the first place.
You already have to be able to mod an xbox to install prometheus, it just makes no sense to waste the valuable slots for mods when there will be completley new maps coming out in the futue, when you can just burn a dvd, and to top it off the final release isn't out. When that happens and v1 final is out maybe 1 map can be voted on to give mimesis users a taste of the awesomeness of H2:ce. From there they can go on and download it themselves. And here I am yet again rambling on about an app that isn't mine. If you read down this far sorry for wasting your time.
I just can't stand new people who post all these friggin' worthless mods that [/i]I could even do with ease. These people come in and post worthless sensless crap and think they are so 1337 because they can post lots. Its a freaking game kids, get over it. Its also people like this that make all the old school guys like Iron_Forge and Viper Neo so pissed off. Pokecancer almost left altogether because people couldn't just wait for him to finish his damn app. I'm sorry for being pissy but all these people who have joined since the launch of Halo 2 have brought the respectability of these forums way down in my view. Don't take it personally anyone. SOme newer members are awesome. But there are these idiots who just won't stop and give up. They continue on with the .005% mod, I'm so cool its only that and I'll show you how shitty it is. Anyways I need some sleep so I'm not so grumpy anymore. Adios.

lol, I posted that so long ago, but it is still true. This is still a great mod, and even though it isn't going to be on menisis, since they want to keep some bandwidth, maybe someone will create that .xbe that autopatches and autosigns maps, therefore making upgrading to the next version easy.

anyways, I just wish my magnum was in there :lol:

H2:CE uses all 22 maps (Induction counts.) I never intended it to be on mimesis or saw that realistically, and I don't know how you guys would either.

Also, crosbiecube, if you think H2:CE was soooo easy, then why don't you try making hundreds of changes to 22 different maps? Exactly. The amount taken on H2:CE work is pretty damn big, and the development has been going on for months. Modding for hours on end isn't equal to easy by a long shot. If you want to vent your anger, don't take it out on me, because this isn't any 5 minute mod, it's H2:CE, which I've had to do for hours on end. Why you're posting this bullshit rant about worthless 5 minute mods in a thread for a mod that literally took hours on end for months to make is just downright stupid. Take your anger elsewhere.

Yeah, Sorry about that guys :roll: , and XD I definately didn't mean to insult h2:ce or call it simple by anymeans. I think its awesome personally. I have 2 dvd's of the latest version I take to my friends to play. When I said not that much had changed I just meant Mimesis usually post things that look completley different, the changes on h2:ce are incredible. This is a frickin awesome project, and props to you for carrying it on like this. I never meant any insult. I just started going off and this is no place for it. This is an amazing project and once again I meant no insult, this was just where I ended venting. Sorry guys. None of that was directed towards this project. And personally I think one of these maps should make it on Mimesis. Just not all of them. People need to try this to get a feel for this. Once again sorry and keep up the awesome work. 8)

There ya go until November 1st, when the official site will be back. I passed 110GB of bandwidth in 23 days, amazing seeing as the package is 11mb, and I only had a few H2:CE videos on the site, it must have been getting a lot of traffic+downloads for the site to be getting ~4.5GB of bandwidth a day.

By the way... coming within the next couple weeks:

Halo 2: Combat Evolved Final
- All bugs fixed
- Rail Gun and Needler Shotgun selectable on all maps, and are both placed on 5 different maps
- Battle Rifle put back in, but not on any maps (selectable/rifles gametype), It's 3-shot burst unzoomed, 1-shot burst zoomed, but shoots much faster
- Carbine is automatic like the H1 Pistol, but of course when you go automatic you get less accuracy. This will help variate the midrange weapons more
- Different H2:CE packages (different models? different skins? different FOV to correct reticle placement? (some people prefer the greater FOV, and you still shoot where the reticle is, it's just that your hands and the weapon model extrude out, and the reticle looks out of place because of this, therefore you can choose to either have a higher FOV, or a lower FOV with correct reticle placement)

I think that pretty much will be it for the final, I don't see anything else that really needs to be changed.

There's a glitch with the railgun, if you press fire and reload rapidly, you can fire much faster.

NO EFFING WAY!!!! If/when you figure out how to do that....can you PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE write a tutorial on it? That's the one thing I *along with what I'm sure is a great amount of people* have been waiting to see be re-worked into the game.

i gave up xbox live so i could mod the old maps, then i got back on live, and now im giving it up again for this, but u made such a sweet mod, ever since the original E3 demo of H2 gameplay i have been ssaying, "i love the battle rifles single shot!" yea, im June 2003 more than a year before halo 2 came out i was bugging my friends about how cool the SINGLE SHOT was on the battle rifle so u can imgine how pissed i was when the game came out and it was all three round burst :evil:

uh i just downloaded that link u put up and.... wheres the new shield bar its not in any of the maps they all have the orignal H2 shield bar at the top, what gives?
