Ok well I did not make this program. I was just lookin' on google for a dds converter for the mac, because I do all of my skinning on a mac but play on a pc. Well any way I justgot tired of DXT BMP & it's terrible quality & I worshiped this program, also the mac HMT did turn images to dds for you, but at a price: any bright colors were disgustingly pixelated especially in my multipourpose skins. This program helped me greatly with my skin pack which I will release probly before or after New Years, not yesterday as I planned. Well umm... enjoy! :D
MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!!!

Downsides:
1. It cant make cubemaps(I think)
2. It can not make bump maps
3. It can not make skins that need masks

it depends on the dxt type your editing.

on the alpha layer it works like this..

black - transparent

white - totally visible

light to dark gray will control transparency. the darker the gray the more transparent it will become.

your alpha brightness also plays a vital role in how cubes play off the pic bringing out colors and brightness on the texture. to me, editing the alpha correctly is more important then the texture itself.

lemme show you something. pictures are better then words i think.

hope that helped some
