Dbl O Sven's Halo Trial Gametype Loader

For Halo Trial only.

See, Halo Trial users can't change their gametypes without having to go through a 5-minute process of replacing blam.lst files and going back in forth between Halo and windows explorer. Here's a solution to the problem (all credit to Dbl O Sven).

It's a program with a user-friendly UI that allows anyone to easily switch a gametype and even create their own.

You need Windows Installer 3.1 and .NET Framework 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en) Make sure your version of .NET Framework 2.0 is current!

I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM OR DBL O SVEN.

I have tested it and it works. On the first two tries it did not work. But it works now. You may have to restart your computer after installing the program. But hey, it's worth the time. Saves hours if you add em up.

Sounds pretty dang useful. The pictures are a bit larger than they need to be though.

Lol yeah. Photobucket has this weird habit of enlarging every uploaded picture.

I had to wrestle with Photobucket to make my sig smaller. It was probably the entire screen at one point. Someone that kept refreshing their browser and watching my posts may have noticed that my sig changed about 5 times lol.

Yes, this is useful

Whoever deleted it from the utilities section is an idiot, this is a great utility! Saves me the trouble of planning L33T to give me edited gametypes.

That wasn't Dbl O Sven's gametype loader.
And I can't post in utlities...only moderators can. Check if you want.

Blam.Ist modifieng it, is illegal.

Bungie doesn't support it.

Patrickssj6, if you were to say blam.lst modifiying is illegal, than modding maps is illegal, which it is not. See, in full Halo, when you make a custom gametype or MODFIY a gametype, you are modifying a blam.lst. Why would Bungie add a feature in the game that is illegal to the user?

And yes, it did not work at first. I am not sure of the exact reason.

But rememeber, you MUST HAVE: Windows Installer 3.1 (everyone has this by default on their Windows Computers). And YOU MUST HAVE .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0. Please remember that.

You may have to reinstall .NET Framework or update it. So far their have been no bugs reported except for spelling mistakes (which really isn't a bug). Dbl O Sven spelt grenades "gernades", but some people thought gernades sounded cool and told him to leave it like that.

If you have any specific problem, please post it here and I will try to fix it for you (just remember that I'm not associated with this program or the creator of this program).

Okay:

1. Restart your computer.
2. Install .NET framework 2.0 or update your version. If you already have it, reinstall it at least three times.
3. Restart your computer again.

If it still doesn't work then I am very sorry but I can't help you anymore. I didn't make this program.

Patrick: omg, don't believe everything random forums say. Modifying a gametype is NOT illegal because that is IN THE GAME. There is a tool called "Edit Gametypes" put into the game by Bungie. Plus we're going off topic :/.

Unlocking features within Halo Trial is agaisnt our policies. We support Bungie and Microsoft, and urge members to purchase the full copy of the game. Modifications such as this give people acsess to the full game without paying.

And for the record, I pioneered getting new gametypes into Halo Trial. But did I release my program? No...I did that over a year ago.
