When trying to replace the bloodgulch sky, HMT says i must inject a DTX1 file. But the file i'm trying to inject is a DTX1 file...I've tried all DTX types, but none of them works...

Ok I finally got this to wotk so Ill tell you how to do it.
For all of you who got this error:
***The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.***
You propably did the same thing as me. The first link in this topic to get .net is the Wrong .net file. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en to get the correct File of .net. Once you get that installed it sould work Just fine.

Having some troubles rebuilding maps. When i rebuild it says that it is succeseful but it is only taking about 5 seconds and there is nothing there. In Hex it is all 0s and no information. Can someone tell me why?

Why arent there any plugins posted on this site, btw why isnt there a topic for Milkshape (kinda important too).

Someone please PM or mail me about where I can find the latest plugins for HMT3 or milkshape or give a link where I can find photoshop itself

how do u get a rebuilt map with a new vehicle in it to work with out having a ******* exception error this is driving me nuts!

Ok, when importing the crashed pelican, and open it in SparkEdit. The swaplist is disorderd (things are missing), when selecting the crashed pelican at models, SE crashes...

So I tried importing some Rock. But i get the same result, the swaplist is wrong, and when selecting the model, it doesn't even look like a rock, it's all streched out...

Something else, what .meta should I add when rebuilding the map? Because usually their are 3 or more of them...

The reason you don't have any tags when you rebuild a map is because you didn't batch extract the metadeta..... In other words, you have to create a folder, batch extract metadata to it, then get the original blood gulch file, and move it there. Then, you can check in the recursive thing on whatever you want to add to the level from another one, meta extract it, put it in with the files that are in the the folder with the batch extract. Now just rebuild the Blood Gulch file that's in with the seperate metadeta folders. That should work :)

:? i did it right and i didnt even try to mod it yet i jus tried to run it weith the new vehicles in it i heard that u have to change the xml files for it or sumthing :?

o yeh jus quoting on u i did all o that and i can see the tags in the hmt3 when i open it but when the map trys to load while im IN THE GAME it crashes and gives me an exception error

I got PAL halo for the xbox

Im having trouble trying to put new things into a map and from the tutorials ive done everything right. Im wanting to make some mod but cant quite get there.

Ok so heres what ive tried to do.

I have batch extracted all meta data from a multiplayer map for pal xbox which is been uncompressed already. I did notice that HMT3 doesn't decompress maps? well it says it does but i think thats a function yet to be implements but the dialog boxes still pop up.

Ok doing that i then try to rebuild the map even with nothing changed and it becomes 40 meg or some weird size and opening it again under HMT3 causes hmt3 to crash. Also tried sparkedit but it says cant find unamed file.

Ok also i noticed when extracting it does FINALLY extract in the end but first off i thought it stopped so i closed it and it comes up with a error saying cant extract some bitmap for UI something about dashboard message or something and i think its having trouble extracting that. I think it might have something to do with PAL Halo. Ive yet to try a NTSC version of a map but will try soon. Anyone else give me any clues?

I got HMT3 to work. Pretty neat program, gj MonoxideC.

I am using this for halo xbox (It can be used for box, right?). I can't open any of the name.map's, I can only open the cache00#.map's. I went to the vehicles section and clicked on the warthog and it only gives me the physics of the warthog, no actual pictures. (I'm trying to skin)..am I looking in the wrong place, or what?

Has anyone else noticed a correlation between the illiterate and the ones with the problems?

Dudes, RTMFM - you know, READ the directions in their entirety. Yeah I just got here yesterday, and already I've asked 2 stupid questions but I didn't sit on my ass waiting for someone to hold my hand, I looked through a few other topics and found the info I needed (model extraction and the .NET crap)
