[App]-Max Map Size Editor - Dark|Metal (small part by T1 XD)

Post by T1xAnton »

This app edits the max map size. It was maxed out at 80 but this changes it to around 520 or something.

Instructions: Open a map, change the number in the text box to 4...then finally click save.. then your done.

UPDATE

http://files.halomods.com/download.php?id=55687 - FINAL UPDATE DOWNLOAD

This application does not make larger bsp's possible, or more chunks addable into your map. It simply makes it so your filesize can be larger. (i.e. we can add more sounds...more ai components...) - JUBAKUBA XD

... Why did you make a textbox. Why didn't you just make a button for open map, and a button for Get rid of maximum map size (which wouldn't really, but still).

Cool...

Quick little tut:
Think of a maximum map size you want (in MB) and divide it be 80. If it's a solid number, then it'll work. It cannot be a decimal.

I'll just make a little thing for choosing the MB size instead of typing it as an int :\

Uh, I guess this is somewhat cool, but I would rather take 5 seconds and just edit it in hex.

Thats not true. I was told its an enum.

So that wouldn't work.

It is an enum. I'm integrating it into a combobox right now.

No... this makes the map max map size be able to go over 80 MB.

Large racetracks would be a possibility.

Here, somebody test this:

No, you spawn the stuff to make racetracks through the netgame equiptment, but that still ha to be 99 chunks or less, sorry.

Ok, I just gave this thing a try, and after three failed attempts, I must ask: Has anybody else successfully converted a bigger BSP using this app yet?
I tried three different BSPs, each time built into a "made bigger" Gemini. Each time I get stuck in the pre-game lobby staring at, "Waiting for everyone to load the map." :?
It doesn't freeze, just...never...loads.

I think this is not for bigger bsp's but for just bigger map size limit.
Like now we can add sounds to our bsp's because we don't have the size limit.

Thanks lej for the sig.

It's not for Bigger "BSP's" lol...Ever injected stuff and the map went over 80 mb? Well, what this does is make it not fail to load after it exceeds 80 mb. I wish I knew about this along time ago
