Removes Xbox live patch from the default.xbe so that you can use Halo 2 Trainers. This is for you if a Hexeditor isn't your best friend. Please Make a backup!!! It Also Changes the default.xbe's name to "Halo 2 No AU" Only downside is that that your xbe will never be able to have the new maps. By request I can create a reverse patch. Enjoy.

Hex editing isnt hard... A noob can do it...
or you could just manually remove the update.
or you could use halo 2 launcher.

O I fuxed up the name damn it was supposed to be "Halo 2 AutoUpdate Remover" I guess I didnt erase the end of the preset text
Also The screen cap didnt disable it for me. Its my first patch other than for mods so gimme a break. Noobs may be able to learn hex editors but it will be a waste of time for such a simple task, not that knowing how isn't important. Im making an All in one called "all ya need" with extras that no other ones have so when I come out with it lemme know what you think. If all goes as planned it will be finished in a month. Thanks for your thoughts.

Well at least I appreciate it. Thanks man.
One question though... In the past, hexing it myself led to that faulty lockout to show up. Does this patcher do that?

Or you could just rename your $u folder...

nice usefull app for lazy people
what exactly does this change ? the thing mentioned in my .txt ?
if so i'm including this into my first post of mappack
***********************************************************************************************************************
Quick guide how to edit the Halo 2 .xbe file so it does not boot the Autoupdate, which is required when using this mappack!!!
1. Open the Halo 2 default.XBE up in a hex editor
2. Search for offset 0x40D2CC (DEC=4248268)
and make sure you've selected the 'beginning of file' option when going to the offsets. Click search or w/e.
3. In the text part of the hexeditor You will see t:\$u\ , just change that letter to random letter for example T:\$w\.
Don't get scared if you still get the update-error message when booting halo 2..
You'll still be able to play your downloaded content!!!

I think this is a good application. Like The Flying Dutchmen said.
nice usefull app for lazy people
And i am one lazy person, so i think i would find this application useful to me when i want to take the autoupdate off. Good job and keep up the good work.

Mine keeps telling me that it's an unrecognized file or format or something. I got the default.xbe off of the disk, put it in its own folder and it still fails.
