So, I suppose the Relic case demonstrates that there's more than one type of banshee barrier. That's obnoxious. I wonder why they even put one in Relic at all.
It would seem, however, that Ascension uses a normal one. At least for the top (haven't experimented on the bottom one yet).

Yes there definatly appears to be 2 different types of barriers. We just need to do some more sbsp research and find the second type
Maybe they put in banshee barriers in places like Relic for the possibility of a banshee, during development. If you notice Lockout has no barrier and no banshee. Relic has a barrier and no banshee.
