Quick question - what's the deal with the unknown weapons? Why bother putting them in there if they don't do anything at all when I put them on my Xbox?

Also, what about the SaveMEta file? We still have to edit that by hand to get the game to show up right on our list, correct?

No, you don't need to edit the same meta to get the game to show up in the list.

But you DO have to make sure that the folder name that savemeta.xbx (and the other save files) was originally in stays with that savemeta file.

The xbox compares the foldername to the name specified in the savemeta.xbx, and if they are not the same (per se w/ the encryption) then the xbox will reject the save in the Dashboard, and I'm pretty sure Halo2 will also.

Note that you CANNOT add symbols to a savemeta like you can to the profile or gametype name... Doing so would require many things, including (but not limited to):
a change in the default font
a change in the folder name to correspond with the meta name change
a change in the MS Dashboard program itself

No, because I have a gametype that has a name of all symbols, but the save metaname is HUDless. It shows up. There's something messed up about Sav3r though with the party leader variable. I took a gametype with the PL variable in it from online and opened i with sav3r. I removed two symbols, and added a new one. Zipped it, transfered it, but PL shows up as a [] on my game lobby, but fine in my list. Weird. Also, I have had symbols in the SaveMeta that show up fine on the game list. I'm having particualr trouble with PL. everything else works fine. Quite odd.

Also, what about those extra guns?

Well, I still havent found a solution to why it says my saves are damaged and cant load the checkpoint. :x

Yeah same here when i try to open it gives me a "Component 'MSINET.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" I downloaded the from the link so WTF plz help

Ok, I'm asuming I can make this and transport it to my Xbox with an Action Replay, Correct? I opened slayer (with no extension) Made it's name "[Party Leader] Is a Buttmunch." and saved it. Now I opened sign.exe and a black box just opened and closed super fast, did it automatically sign, like this is supposed to happen? Or should something actually come up and stay up?

You don't need to run sign.exe. Sav3r automatically runs it. It just needs to be there because it isn't built into Sav3r.

hello guys i just want to ask you if it is possible to add level symbols into the custom gamemode names :)

and can you change the numbers of oddballs in a game or the respawn time of the vehicles ?

just a sugestion ive heard float around, and ive wanted my self. to truely call this a gametype editor and to make just an extremly useable and kickass program you should add most of the options from <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp ... k=halo%202" onmouseover="window.status='halo 2'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">halo 2</a>. i understand doing the byte options at offsets 48 and 49 would probably be hard if not out of reach but the rest would be nifty. you could have like a drop down menu with a selection of each type of modification to be made like "equipment settings" "match settings" and stuff like that. then have the options within the program change to match. i know thats alot of unessisary coding i just get tired of having to make games on my box first then transfer them to my pc mod them and then put them back on my box. also.... you should add a variable to codes.ini to insert the first 17 symbols for the medals into the name to facilitate a hudless option. umm..i had some other ideas... oh yea, you could make a second kind of carry on program that would run whenever you opended a profile in sav3r. that would give you the full flexibility of profile editing with the auto reload option, and dare i say the autoaim option. as much as i dissagree with that lots of people would love it but then again lots of people would hate it. anyway just some ideas.. oh yes.. i would also like to ask if something is possible, could you make it so when it read something like "[-blahblah-]" that wasnt part of codes.ini it would ignore it and leave the [ and ] in. because i stick my clan tag infront of all my gametype and profile names "[-Wicked-]" (gametypes) and "[-x117-]" profiles.. but every time i use sav3r it deletes the [ and ] so i have to go back into it with hex workshop change those two back and resign it my self... for the profiles its no biggy because i dont use sav3r for profiles but for gametypes its kinda annoying ...that also happens if you try to edit any mlg game types because the game type names are [-MLG-] i think


oh yes.. wth are unkown (f) and unkown (10) any time you put them as primary weapons (F) puts you with a rocket and (10) puts you with nothing.. or vice versa i cant remember.. im assuming (F) was meant to be the fuel rod which would make sence if you got a rocket instead but what about (10) ...flamethrower? ..although wouldnt that give you a sniper

(i know in haloCE when the flame thrower messes up or i use a mod that gives me a flamethrower on a map that doesnt have them i end up with a sniper.. or some times.. on halo pc.. the shit just turns into a sniper ... i was playing with my friend joey the other day and went to flame thrower him (i was holding a flame thrower) and it insta poofed into a sniper and i ended up accidently no scoping his head.. it was weird.)

(wow you have alot to say) if you want the [ and ] you need to do it twice, becuse thos are used when you add signs, like [oddball], if you wanted the sign of an oddball to be serounded by [] then put two. so for the clan name thing you would need to put [[whatyouwant]] got it?
