I thought that to work on the 360 the .xbx crap needs to be signed to the 360?
Also nice job. Now I can use this.

Shadow LAG wrote:DO NOT be ashamed to release this, This can help Xbox360 modders to add new maps to their xbox since they cannot run halo from the HDD. This will make a positive difference, Besides don't worry about the xbl moders what are they gonna do with it? You can't use this to cheat since the map content are not signed nor can they play since halo 1.2 patch blocks them from MM
This can not add new maps to the Xbox 360. People are not realizing something - you don't just magically drag and drop files to TDATA and have them work. Content must be signed to each Xbox, and currently no one knows how Xbox 1 content is signed to the Xbox 360. Even signing content to the Xbox 1 is a pain, it involves copyrighted Microsoft tools which most likely won't be discussed here, nor how to obtain them.

This application can do the same thing Coolspot's map resigner can - allow modified maps to load on Xbox Live. Yet Coolspot's is not allowed on these forums, but this is despite some extra cheating potential.

I don't think the people on this forum really grasp how exactly DLC works for Halo 2. Don't get me wrong, this is a great app (at least the build I used a while back was, I'm sure this one's better) and Anthony did a good job at coding it. I don't blame him for releasing it since one was already out. However, I ultimately fail to see any practical use due to the difficulty of installing content yourself.

Someone told me they figured it out and they can make a tool that will create content, sign it properly to the xbox given by IP. And FTP to it.

Yes the DLC is signed with a hash generated from your HD Key and Eeprom. You can do that easily by using and edited verson of CDX to install the content.

Are we allowed to discuss CDX here? I figured because it was made by Microsoft that it wasn't something we could talk about here, thus the hush-hush nature of my last post.

Again, generating DLC files, editing CDX, loading the content into CDX, running CDX and installing content is more effort than just patching a map and editing your menu or letting Serenity do it for you.

The reason I actually use this is because I seem to have alot of issues if I edit my main menu. I beta alot of stuff and I'm not that orginized. It takes alot more memory power and work to remember all the maps from my main menu and moving it to another one. So with this I just add them using a patch and then it's easy to delete because all I have to do it delete the folder i put the dlc in.

My ProjectP also included a ContentMeta and ContentImage generator and installed the content on your xbox, I have removed that for the sake of live. This cannot ruin Halo 2 XBL in any way so thats why I felt it was ok that I released it, DLC and tools is a touchy subject for most people. So I ask that you please not talk about it here, join up a Chat on aim or something but please not here, I removed that from the app for a reason.. Thanks btw the drag and drop and default editor is 1337 :D

does this let you add maps to the tdata section by patching the .lvl files so you dont have to add them to the mainmenu?

All you have to do is read the topic to know that Yes, it does let you add maps to your main menu via lvl patches in the Halo 2 tdata folder.

Yeah you can create them. But you also need the contentmeta and Image which is made by CDX which cannot be discussed.

Wait a second I'm confused, people are talking about adding maps to their menu's via this method. But then again that dude said that you cannot add maps because it is not signed, So I'm all confused on what its purpose is and its uses. Could someone clarify? thanks. Anthony and don't be afraid to add your extra options, they could even be helpful, NOTHING you could do at this point can ruin matchmaking and its been like this for a year and a half now so, If you wan't to update your app go ahead.

Maybe a moderator will be kind enough to clarify the rules concerning the discussion of CDX
