Dual Triggers, the oldschool way. (No Chunk cloner / CE)
Too many people ask this quesiton so this is how we are going to do it.

Philly- His duplicating tutorial.
1. You must Duplicate the Plasma Pistol using THIS Method.
For Mac users you would use HHK to extract the weapon (PMI).
For the EOF trick you'll have to use Alt's Eschaton 0.7: Bitmap Demo.
When you inject the Skin you click the "Inject as new bitmap data" box and that should work.
2. Open up your map with your duplicated Plasma Pistol in Eschaton,HMT should work to but for this tutorial I will be using Eschaton.
3. Go to the dependancy swapper and choose your Duplicated Plasma Pistol.
4. Change all the Models, effects, animations, and projectiles to the ones you want.
5. Go back to your main Eschaton / HMT window and choose Weap > Duplicated plasma pistol > main > 32-bit bitmasks > Flags > and check Secondary fire overrides grenades.
6. Also check off Prevents Grenade throwing.
7. Go back to Weap > Duplicated plasma pistol.
8. Choose Projectile > projectile 1 > Floating point numbers.
9. Change the charging / charged times to 0 so you do not charge the weapon.
10. Change the rest of your options to whatever you choose. These include Rate of fire, Spread, acceleration / deceleration times etc.
11. Repeat steps 7 through 10 for projectile 2.
I'm pretty sure that's all I'll double check over it later, PM or ask here if you need help.

im very interested.. but I have questions about duplicating the plasma pistol.. i'm on a mac, so I am not familiar with some of those terms...
by "Using HMT to extract weapon", i'd just use HHT to extract the weap meta and mod2 metas for both the weapon and fp from a SEPARATE map after duplicating it... and after this, I PMI this weapon into the map I want and append its model???
and how do I use EOF trick on mac... is it on our HMT versions??

ah i see, so switching to "secondary trigger overrides grenades" makes it so when u try to throw a grenade it does the secondary trigger?
then when you're done do you meta swap with the weapon you want to have secondary triggers on? or is there more dependency swapping that can be done before resorting to that?

You also need to check off "can not use grenades" otherwise when you picked up a grenade it would make you throw it instead of firing your second trigger.
Listen to what DeadHamster has to say for the second, if that's not what you need just ask.
i think what he is telling me is to create a brand new weapon that spawns on the map, im trying to get the new weapon (alright it's gonna be an assault rifle with a grenade launcher like in the old third person pre-xbox halo and im gonna reskin the flashlight on it so it looks like a grenade launcher) to replace the old assault rifle so that with generic weapon sets you spawn with the new one and it will spawn where the old one usually does on the map

Open HHT, go to the ITMC branch, and find assault rifle.
In the dependancy swapper, swap the reference for the assault rifle to your duplicated weapon tag. Now wherever an assault rifle would normally spawn, yours will.
To get your character to start with it, open it in HHT, and under biped, look for to weap slots, they should have pistol and AR stock, swap the AR for your tag.
You can use that to make the spartan spawn with whatever weapon you wish, assuming the gametype is set to generic.
