CE - PC content
CE - PC content
I got bored and decided to make a tutorial on how to take Halo CE content and transfer it to Halo PC, as I noticed there isn't any tutorials following recent methods. Hopefully this will clear up some confusion amongst newer modders as well.
In this tutorial I'm transferring a weapon, however, you may follow the steps using something else and it should work just fine.

Some notes:
If you get corrupt bitmaps, try messing with settings in harbinger, if not that, make sure everything was pmi'd correctly/swapped correctly.
Any further questions can be posted here.
Also, if I took any wrong steps in the tutorial, notify me and I will fix it >_>

Erm, you can get bitmaps by using C#MT, that was discovered back when the first CE>Mac conversions were done.developer wrote:Well , Good one , but Andrew released such tutorial once. It might be deleted cause it was against the rules , and also this is not taking but ripping ...Anyway I found a way to convert bitmaps from CE to PC a long time ago, and there is no way if you don't have HCE and HEK.

Modfox is right, and "internalized bitmaps" is not a disproof, it is the reason you do it (read: name ce map bitmaps.map) in the first place.

In my experience Halo for Mac can sometimes not take that too kindly. Maybe that is just me.conure wrote:and i am gona have to agree.MoDFox wrote: I'm going to have to disagree...

Works great with The Eschaton Bitmap Demo.

This isn't ripping if you made the tags yourself.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.
Lol , you guys really found much easier ways. I actually found this way :
Open your .bitmap tag in guerilla and hit preview bitmaps. From there PrintScreen\Screenshot. Open photoshop or whatever and Then Ctrl+V. Save in the correct format , EOF the texture you will replace and then import.

Sig over height limit.
