How to make Halo run faster and look better!

Here are some tips to make Halo run faster and look nicer:

Turn off video related things
Do you really need shadows and specular enabled? Are high quality particles and decals slowing you down? Turn them off. I find that things like shadows make hardly any difference to the way the game looks, so there's no need for them.

Give Halo a higher priority
Whilst halo is running, pause the game and press the windows key. Halo will minimize and your desktop will appear. Press ctrl + alt + delete. Go to the processes tab. Findd halo.exe and right click it. set the priority to 'above normal'. Close task manager and conyinue playing Halo. It should run faster.

Window Halo
This may sound crazy, but it really works. Right click your Halo desktop icon and go to properties. In the taget line add a space after the quotes and then enter this text:

-window

This will cause halo to run in a window instead of fullscreen. I've tried this many times, and it really does make Halo run faster. You can even enable video effects that would have previously caused lag. It even gives the illusion of better graphics, and makes pausing the game and going to another program like MSN muchg more efficient.
