Putting Active Camo On Vehicles

Ok, this is a way I found how to get a vehicle, like a ghost to have active camo, you know, invisibility.

What were basicly doing is replacing the plasma rifle with your vehicle of choice. Then setting the plasma rifles spawn time to almost never.

Things you need:
1. HMT
2. 60 plugins pack, or 64
3. Sparkedit

How to do it:

1. Open HMT and open any map, for this tut im using hang em' high.
2. Scroll down to the [vehi] tag, click the +, then click on warthog.
3. Up near the top of HMT look for the meta number (ex. B48928)
4. Copy the meta, Ctrl+C, now go to the [weap] tag, click on the +.
5. Find the plasma rifle, up at the top again, paste the warthogs meta over the plasma rifles meta, click save.
6. Now scroll up again and find the [itmc] tag, click the +, lol
7. find item collections\single weapons\plasma rifle, click that and you should see something saying "Respawn Time: 0 = Default" on the right.
8. Set that number to 9999, click save again.
9. Close HMT, and open spark edit, move the plasma rifle to anywhere you want.
10. Enjoy a new invisible vehicle, which the camo will fade if you shoot it, like the spartan.

Note: There are some glitches with this method, sometimes the warthog will not drive, when you shoot the turret it stays shooting, and stays aiming where you left it. Never tried it with a tank, so, yeah... But the ghost should work fine, sometimes you cant get into the vehicle... so, just a warning lol.

lol i did this too but i just put it over the active camoflage instead

If you can't put the cammo, in the windshield, it sucks.

Well, see thats an easy fix, lol you just need some creativity...

I mean, thats kinda obvious that its not invisible from the tutorial.. so all you gots to do is replace the warthog windshield bitmaps meta with the cryo glass meta... The glass wont be there :)

to make the windshield totally disappear go to the glass shader branch and click "dynamic mirror". bet it wont be there then.

The windshield doesn't have bitmap, the only way is to erase it at glass shader, but it will never appear.

You all are missing the point except for pepsi.

The windshield is invisible, but there is still the light on it... look closely. you can see the wall through it. :P

anyways. what pepsi said works. and if you edit the lighting of the windshield, you can make it look tinted.

Sounds fun and useful. Too bad the pictures are to large to load because I'm on a vacation on a third-party PC with a horrible internet connection. Plus the resolution on this PC is crap. I'll check in like a week or so then edit this post :)

I have seen this done before on a map. let me see i believe it was ... i don't know what the map name was but it had tanks, banshees, hogs and ghosts all cloaked. and nothign was showing like in this tut. it was an ai map idk if that helps but i am just throwing this out there.

I've done this before, and by accident too.

Yeah, things were pretty glitchy. They didn't work sometimes, if you fired the weapon, it kept going, and I'd gert exceptions at random.

lol ther veticles from the TWIGLIGHT ZONE EDIT i like replacing the roket launcher in the Silent Cartogropher with a hog and usen a Active camo hog.

Ok, i was looking at the map again... it turns out...

1 warthog worked, the other did not


I thought they both didnt

so... HURRAY FOR ME, i found this out.. lolz
So what i recomend is that in sparkedit you delete the one that doesnt work.. and place a new one :)

Or

Have a weapon that shoots 1 bullet, but shoots out invisible hog :)

Couldn't you just replace the warthogs bitmaps with the cyro glass bitmap?
works for me without any problems.
