Vehicle blue glow !

Pretty easy, but it's my first time I ever did something like this,
Open up HMT3.5, you can do whatever map you want, open up [ligh]Lights, scroll down till you see vehicles/warthog/headlight. Swap it for a plasma grenade. This was basically for me because I wanted a cool civilian hog look, but I thought I could post it here..... . This was basically for fun. A picture:

You know, you could learn to edit things instead of swapping items with others.
Anyway, I give this tutorial a 6/10, because it's quite vague towards the audience it's aimed at. But you did use proper English, and you posted a picture, which I credit you for.

I haven't really figured out how to skin yet, every time I try, I always get an exception. Which always comes my way. I didn't expect a 7/10 +, so thanks.

Try to do everything with logic, an always with the same size, just changing, the texture/light/et...(Don't forget saving as a dds. file)

It is possible to change without skinning. With some plugins ;)

pepsi says to follow these steps...

step 1: Open up HMTv3.5 and open your map file (for this i will use blood gulch)

step 2: go to the ligh tag and click on it, then scroll down to vehicles/warthog/headlights and click it

step 3: look at the top and click dynamic then scroll down to the box that says shape and look under it there should be radius radius modifier etc change it to the following:
Radius 1
Radius modifier 20
Radius modifier - To 10

Step 4: go down to the box that says colour and change all 4 colors on the top (should say colour lower bound)to 0 and go to the next 4 (should say colour upper bound)change the first one to 0 and now depending on wat color u want (i will use blue) change everything to 0 accept the very last on it says Colour upper bound B put 15 then hit save

step 5: copy the meta and paste it on vehicles/warthog/headlights light and vehicles/warthog/taillights then hit save once more and close your map file in hmt

step 6: Go Play the map you just modded the hog for. This only will effect the warthogs on that map. To have it on every map you have you to do each step above on each map for the disired effect.

this quick tut requires hmt 3.5 and the 60 plugins

Yeah, I have Phenomena's 64-plug-in pack. I didn't forget to save as an dds. file, but I always get an exception.. :(

this could be useful.

This could be used to actually emulate the green glow that the Halo 3 Banshee gives off... seeing as a modified cubemap did not work.

Only problem is it would effect the colour of the Plasma Grenade.

Hmmm... so it's kinda like neon lights for your 'hog.

Ok, a seriously better way to get Neons on a warthog..

Either 1) Do what pepsi said, or 2) PC>CE, add a dynamic light with the preferred settings, compile, CE>PC. This one puts an actual glow UNDER the hog not just the headlights, which you may also modify at once. HEK = 10x easier then HMT, unless its a bitmap, lol.
