I was just messing around with mod2 and stuff when i found how to make things transperant. Sorry if this is already posted.. i havent seen any yet.
Programs needed:
HHT

First off open a map of your choice, i prefer bloodgulch. Scroll down to the tags called "mod2" and click on the little +. You should see many tags and stuff, click on one that you want to change, for instance i will do the warthog.
So scroll down and click on vehicles\warthog\warthog and on the right you should see a lot of Dependencies. High light all of them and go down to where is says "Tag and Dependency to Swap With". On the little drop down box on the left click it then find the tag scex. on the Long box on the right, click that and then click on powerups\over sheild\shaders\over sheild . Then click on swap. There you go! In game the hog will look see through and blueish. You can do this with about anything, the problem with weapons is that when they are on the ground, they look transperant but when you pick them up, they arent. Have fun with this

Actually if you swap it with the a10 cyro glass you get it near perfectly clear.

listen to this guy. if you've ever seen it as a tiff you will know it is not clear. I suggest making your own clear shader, or nulling thing out to get it PERFECT

I managed to get an invisible banshee by swapping all the shaders to frag's light.

that is completly invisible. (Well, it seems to be)

How to make things transparent for real

save the cryoglass bitmap.
open it in a paint editing program.
color the whole thing black.
go to the alpha layer.
color the entire alpha layer black.
save as correct .dds format.
inject back into game.
find the item you want transparent.
swap the meta for the cryoglass onto the item you want transparent.
hit 'save'.

thats its seriously.

I posted a tutorial on this! The alpha channel can be edited with DXTBmp. Depending on the amount of white, is how transparent it is. All black is not possible to see. All white is entirly visible. Directly in between white and black is visible to see, but also able to see thru it well.
