Editing Halo Trial vehicle ceiling height

Ok. This tutorial is for the noobs out there. Its also for non-noobs but its written in a format everyone can understand.

In halo trial it's not possible to extract a bsp tag, edit it, and import it back into the map like u can do in FullVersion maps. This tutorial tells how to edit the ceiling without extracting anything. (HMT isnt even used in this tutorial)

Open up bloodgulch in HexWorkshop (this is the recommended hex editor. If it says u need to register press unlock then press cancel and you can use it).

If you have hex workshop, make the window small enuff so that the numbers on the VERY LEFT go:
00000000
00000010
00000020
ect.
make sure its just like that.

now goto edit>find.
in the dropdown go to string.
type in "psbs" which is backwards for sbsp, the object you are going to edit.
press ok.

u should have found a section that says "psbsmtib". Look under it. (in the number section, directly under the highlighted area, all the way to the right.) you will see 4 numbers by themself. highlight these four numbers, and type in the hex properties for a number.

For this tutorial, we will just set NO vehicles ceiling height. only the very roof of the map itself will block a shee or other flying thing. the numbers you will type in are "00 00".

now save the map, and make a backup in case your stupid enuogh to have made a mistake. lol.

open the map up in halo trial, and get in a shee. if you did it right, you should be able to go all the way to the map's roof.

congratulations, you have just deleted or raised the vehicle ceiling height. keep experimenting with the hex to get different results. Image

I cant prove it but i thought i saw something in hmt that allowed you to change the vehicle ceiling.

Also...the unlock and cancel doesnt work =/ My bad luck prolly.

the hmt thing never works...trust me its been tried.....
and the unlock works for crtain versions. what version do you have?

What's ghostwing?

Anyway, this is an unfinished mod I'm working on. Currently I'm having technical difficulties, or I'd be finished. *cough*can't see dependency swapper in HHT*cough*

Also, vehicles go BOOM! HAHAHAHAHAH! (This is the only working part of the mod right now)
I plan to make elites fly the banshees, drive ghosts, and NOT MAKE THE FRIGGIN CYBORG A GRUNT like I did in V1.
oops.
This is a Halo Trial mod, by the way.
And yeah, it works. I proved it. There's still a ceiling, sort of, but it's WAY HIGH. So it doesn't matter.
