This is just a simple Hex editing tutorial, Just to get you started.

The first thing you do is Open a Halo PC map in a hex editor, For this tutorial i will use The map Timberland. If you dont have a hex editor, You can download a free one Called HxDen, the one im using, Here.

Now, to get started, We will need the offset lists made by Iron_Forge, You can get them Here. Make sure you download the correct batch.

Once downloaded, Open up the timberland.map into your Hex editor

and open up the offsets list for Timberland. We will make a warthog turret shoot rockets.
Once the Offsets have been opened (ive used the retail offsets) It will look like this -

Once thats done, Navigate to the Projectiles section, and note down the warthog bullet and Rocket projectile's Offsets and Values, But you wont need the Rocket's Offset.

In this case, they are -
Rocket : Value = C40D5C40
Warthog Bullet : Offset = 008D1B4C
Value = D8BA5D40

So once you've gotten those down, go to your hex editor with timberland opened in it, And go to Search>Go to on HxDen, I dont know about other hex editors, And copy and paste the warthog offset Into the box like so

Image

Then once thats done, click OK then you'll get to a page that looks something like this

Image

And now thats done, you have to find the warthog bullet's value, which is D8BA5D40, like this

Image

Then highlight it, and replace the value with the Rocket's value, which is C40D5C40, So it will Now look like this.

Now go to File>Save Changes, And play it. Now you're Finished! See, Not that hard.
