PC-Easy: High Speed Hog with good physics

Post by UPS »

Ever hate it when your high speed warthog flips every time you turn?
I have been testing around a lot and have come up with a pretty nice calculation.
You must edit the physics as well as the speed.

1: Change the speed to a higher number (as the normal speed is "0.275").
Ill use 0.375 as a default.
You will notice that this speed flips often, so head to the [phys] tag and open Warthog.
if you have no idea what im talking about heres a picture:

NOTE: this will effect BOTH the LAAG and the rocket warthog. if you are changing one hog to a very high speed, this can effect the other hog if you dont add speed. Just a little bit though

The third box down says "Mass: 5000"
The calculation:
+110 per every 25 thousandth added to speed.

This means that you must add 110 to mass PER EVERY 0.025 added.
Since the default 0.375 has Four(4) added 25 thousandth's (if you dont know what a thousandth is then it would be: 0.001, 1 being the thousandth's place.) you will need to add (110x4) 440 to the physics. NOTE::
The higher speed you add, the more "off" this becomes, so if you find you are having some small trouble with it, go ahead and add 10-40 to Mass depending on the trouble: 10 if its a small "sometimes i flip when turning". I HIGHLY suggest NOT making the warthogs have too much added to physics, or it will be too "heavy" and will be either impossible, or close to it to the ability to flip. It will land at an angle and just roll on its side over and over again

ALSO
do NOT post about having trouble landing jumps.
This is not associated with the physics edit at all: if you actually observe, you will notice you have much more "airborne time", so if you end up flipping in midair just a bit, you wont hit the ground as soon and will probably flip because it will turn you upside down by the time you land. THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE HIGH SPEEDS, NOT THE PHYSICS

i really express this because i dont want anyone asking about that or PMing. If you do i probably wont answer to it >_>

Anyhoo, here you go! a high speed warthog with a lot better physics!
(i wouldve posted a video of it but stupid FRAPS got all messed up when it was recording :( )

Enjoy!!
