ya this is really simple. open up whatever hex editing program you have. i use hexedit. at the top you should see the map name like bloodgulch. it wont have the .map thing at the end. then take that and change the name however u want it. ill make an example. lets say you want the map name to be pancakes. you change "bloodgulch" into "pancakes" (without the quotes) and save it as pancakes.map. keep in mind if you change the name to pancakes then you HAVE to save it as pancakes.map otherwise it wont work. another example would be changing the name to pie. after you replace "bloodgulch" with "pie" (without quotes) then you must save as pie.map

o ya it doesnt have to be bloodgulch it can be any map you want

You forgot something.The name can't be longer then the original name.

Overall this is an un-professionaly done tutorial.Try to make sections make it nicer and make sure you use right grammar.

i dont care about that stuff i just wanted to get the point accross. sometimes it works for me though when i use a longer name.
