Ok I spent my WHOLE day writing these tuts on how to edit HUD!
these tuts are so good you don't even need pics!!!

This needs so much work.
The formatting is not very good sadly, the content is not as well explained as it could, or should be.
Also its lacking certain features that I would expect from a good HUD editing tutorial.
This also needs pictures, and colour references. By this I mean your describing colours that should have specific values (ei; #000000, #FF99000, etc).
Maybe describe something towards HUD colours, and HUD functions.

if its a tut, then should this belong in the tutorial section? I seen tutorials that is downloadable, so is it?
