How to spawn 100% fully working,System link compatible machs

Ok, I've seen some complaints from patchesreusch's "Spawn Working Mach's" tutorial, and so I decided to just make my own. This does not 'improve upon' his, I am starting fresh and new. So, here we go.

-------------------------
In this tutorial, I will teach you how to copy over the mach palette and placement, what that means, how to spawn the machs, how to spawn the machs by chunk cloning and how to fix the green mach problem. Also, I will include a download to a list of useful machs.
-------------------------

What you will need
  • Entity UE v1.6 - Download
The map you want the machs in. (coagulation for this tutorial)
The map with the machs in it. (03b_newmombasa for this tutorial.)
-------------------------
Note : You may get this error when selecting a tag -
Image
Just hit "ok" and select another tag, then go back to your tag.

Definitions -
Mach Palette - The types of machines in the map.
Mach Placement - How many machines and where they are placed on the map.
Chunk Cloning - Duplicating "chunks" or basically adding more of something to a map.

Part 1: Putting the Machine into your map.
1.)Open the map with the mach in it (03b_newmombasa for this tutorial) in Entity UE v1.6
2.)Scroll through the tags and find +[mach]. Click the +.
-Image
3.)Select the machine that you want in your map.
-Image
4.)At the top right, check the 3 boxes named "Parsed, Recursive, and Sounds" Then, hit "Save"
-Image
5.)When the pop-up comes up, hit "Make new folder", name it "Mach1", select the "mach1" folder, and hit "Save".
-Image
6.)Now, close Entity and reopen it. Then, open the map that you want the machine in. (Coagulation for this tutorial)
7.)At the bottom right, click the "Build" button.
-Image
8.)Double-click on the "mach1" folder, then double-click on the "Your-mach-here.info"
-Image
9.)Click the "ok" on the pop-up. Now, congratulations, you've successfully put a machine into your map. Just repeat steps 3-8 if you want another machine in your map.

Part 2: Getting the mach to work.
1.)Open your map in entity, then leave it open and open the map with the machines in entity. Then, hit windows > Tile Horizontal and you should get something like this. Click Here
2.)On both maps, go to +[scnr] and click on the [+].
3.)Select the only tag there.
-Image
4.)Go to the map with the machines in it, right-click, and hit "Clone Chunk".
-Image
5.)Next, a chunk cloner should pop-up.
-Image
6.)Select "Mach Palette", then hit "Copy to clipboard" and then exit out of the chunk cloner.
Image
7.)Go to the map that you want the machs in and right-click on the right side and click, clone chunk. Then, click on the Chunk : Number 0 and hit "Add to selected reflexive / chunk", then hit "Add meta to map".
-Repeat steps 6 and 7 for Machine Placement ~ Thanks fleabag
-Image
8.)Now, exit out of entity. All thats necessary thats left to do is place it in the bsp viewer. You pretty much just open the bsp viewer and then you go to spawns > machine > and double click on one of the machines. Then, select it and click Edit > move all spawns here. Then, edit > select all spawns. Then, move all of the machs into the map.[Click Here to see my bsp viewer] Next, I will list some optionals.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Heres how far we've gotten.
1.) The door spawns

2.) The door opens when near it

Extra Part : Optional Parts to the Tutorial

Machine Database - Download

How to fix the green -
Well, mine wasn't green when I built it in, but w/e.

1.) Change all of the shaders in the the [mode] of the machine.
2.) Build containment's or zanzibar's ltmp into your map and change your ltmp to zanzibar's or containment's in the sncr.
3.) Headshotmasta's way of fixing. (Click Here)
4.) Rebuild your map with containment's or zanzibar's ltmp.

How to fix System Link -
1.) After this tutorial, you must open your map in Entity and click Tools > Fix System Link. That should fix it.

2.) If it still doesn't fix it, then use Headshotmasta's Meta Faking tutorial, then press Fix System Link again. That will do it.

Example Patch (Serenity)-
Download - Click Here To Download

Hope this helps everyone!

Whenever I attempt to save the door file I get an error message that I need to close the program to attempt again...so I can't add it to coagulation because it doesn't save from the newmombassa.map. If someone could please tell me what I'm doing wrong that would be very helpful! :D :D

The fault is not coming from within my tutorial. I am not sure what the reason would be. Try a different entity.
