[vid tut] editing spawn locations in Entity's bsp viewer

Post by nanagn11 »

Well this video is pretty simple
only problem was that my microphone is stuffed so my voice got kind of hard to hear, but u can pretty much see everything that i do, but just so you know moving the camera in the bsp viewer is W,A,S,D used like movement on halo pc and X,C to go up and down, The arrows are used when u select a spawn object so <,>,^,v and Pg up an pg down to move objects up and down.

weapons are spawned through collection, not equipment.

I have edited the telleporter spawns and save it and now when I try and pull it back up on entity I get a message that says ( not a supported map type ). So then I tryed to up load it after I used my map signer and I failed to load map. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to make a great tutorial but I dont know how to fix this.

lol...I think someone got dissed there... anyways I think that it might have to do with the version of Entity your using. Theres one version that I sometimes use which BSP viewer seems to completely destroy my maps...(its the one that asks whether I would like to save the player spawns when you exit out of the BSP viewer...)

My advice: try another version of Entity.

(my friend has the same problem as the one I described above except with a version that works fine for me--funny thing is I gave him an exact copy of my modding tools folder so I guess the only common factor might be that he uses vista and I use XP... now wasn't that a nice little pointless tidbit of information...?)
